The Story

Deidre has lived on the wild west coast of British Columbia for most of her life. She always found commercial soap irritating. After researching the ingredients and not being able to pronounce most of the them, she decided to learn how to make her own soap and candles.

She made soap for over a year for family & friends in her home on the sunshine coast. Then she made the move to Vancouver Island's far West Coast, Ucluelet.

In Ucluelet the average rain fall is over 11 feet per year! Rainwater Soap and Candle Co. was born. She has developed a west coast inspired line of natural soaps and candles. Some of her favorite ingredients are calendula, anything invigorating with citrus undertones, poppy seeds, west coast clay she collects herself and of course, rainwater!
